Keyboard Cover for Macbook Pro

So you want to protect your beautiful new Macbook Pro 13” / 15” or 17”, lots of people buy external cases and bags for their laptop, but not so many for their keyboard.  Actually it is a very wise investment because a lot of dirt can get inbetween the keys and worse is the danger of spilled drinks or liquids. Just have a look on Ebay and you will see a few damaged Macbook Pro’s for sale which have keyboard damage from spilled liquids.

    This is not the only reason though, keyboard keys do wear out and using a quality cover will extend their life longevity, keeping the laptop in good condition, and so maybe one day when you want to upgrade you still have a laptop you can resell !

You can have a cover that stays on all the time and hugs the keys or another possible option would be to have a cover that protects the keys (and the screen) when the laptop is shut and not being used.

IKlear sell a chamois type material that covers the keyboard while you are not using it and protects the screen from getting key marks and also of course dust from getting into your keyboard. A good idea but its not going to protect your keyboard when you are using it.
